"Moving beyond our differences...Embracing our similarities"
Mission and Purpose
The purpose of ODPS is to provide services that promote successful college experiences for diverse populations. These services aim to foster student development, increase cultural awareness and provide learning outcomes which are globally focused. This office will provide activities and programs that enhance the academic and social needs of a diverse and ever-changing university population. ODPS is committed to ensuring that our campus will be a safe-space of cultural and social inclusion.
The Office of Diversity Programs and Services (ODPS) will be sponsoring a student organization whose sole purpose is to expand the push of inclusion and nurturing unity through diversity by seeking commonality beyond obvious differences. We are seeking students who are dedicated to the promotion of diversity in a collegiate setting, while encouraging a mutual respect for cultural and social differences on our campus. Those interested in expanding these efforts are asked to email Dynasty Battest, Student Development Specialist for the ODPS at battest_dynasty@columbusstate.edu.
